ඔක්තෝබර් 19, කොළඹ (LNW): වීදි කලාව යනු ගඩොල් සහ කොන්ක්‍රීට් හරහා විසිරී ඇති තීන්ත පමණක් නොවේ! එය නූතන නගරවල හෘද ස්පන්දනය කීවොත් නිවැරදිය. නාගරික නිර්මාණශීලිත්වය, කතන්දර කීම සහ ආත්මය එකිනෙක හමුවන එකම ස්ථානය එයයි. බෘක්ලින්හි පසුබිම් වීදිවල සිට බුවනෝස් අයර්ස් හි කාර්යබහුලත්වයෙන් යුත් නගරයේ බිත්ති දක්වා, මෙම කලාව දිව ගොස් තිබේ – මෙම බිත්ති අලංකාර කිරීම පමණක් නොව, ඔවුන් අනන්‍යතාවය, බලාපොරොත්තු, හාස්‍යය සහ විරෝධතා පිළිබඳ එහිදී පෙන්නුම් කරයි.
ඔහේ තියෙන හිස් බිත්ති මහජන ගැලරි ලෙස දැන් පරිවර්තනය වී තිබීම කලාවට අත වැනීමකි. එහිදී නිර්මාණශීලී වීදි කලාකරුවන් ඔවුන්ගේ ප්‍රතිභාවේ ඇඟිලි සලකුණු එහි ඉතිරි කරයි. ඔවුන් හිස් කොන්ක්‍රීට්, චිත්තවේගීය භූ දර්ශන බවට පත් කරයි – එකිනෙකට ගැඹුරින් සම්බන්ධ වන ආකාරයෙන් උපහාසය, අලංකාරය සහ දේශපාලනය ඒවාට මිශ්‍ර කරයි.
